How we eat our fast food in our vehicles today reflects a culture change over the last fifty years. Beverage trays in glove compartments were a standard feature in cars and trucks in the ’50s and ’60s, while today the number of cup holders in your car or truck can be the crucial factor in buying or leasing that new vehicle. That feature reflects the cultural change from being served at the old drive-in restaurant and consuming your burger and fries in a parked car, to ordering your meal at a drive-thru fast food restaurant, and consuming your meal on the run.
